Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

I think I'm relatively objective about American politics. When I say that, I don't mean to say that I don't have partisan positions, or that I don't lean overwhelmingly towards one side, but I think I have an understanding that even when people disagree with me, overall we both have the right intentions (security of the country, welfare of our fellow citizens) even though we disagree on the policy.

That being said, the Republicans who act like they "own" what happened on that day, and use the fear of another 9/11 to try to sway votes to their side, are evil, evil people. I really hope this shit backfires in their face this time.

The thing is, I also don't understand the point trying to be made; are they saying that Democrats were happy that something like this happen, that they don't mourn the lives lost and feel anger towards those who committed the acts? I don't think the idea that they were just 'paying tribute' holds up, considering the ways Rudy and Bush mentioned 9/11 in their speeches. I mean, watching that tribute and seeing all the rescue workers-do they think they're all Republicans. Alot of them are blue-collar New York democrats, of which there are many.

It just boggles my mind; vote for us or more people will fly planes into buildings. Or someone will blow up a nuclear bomb where you live. What kind of party platform is that?

It's a plarform for fear. They should have just labeled it "9/11 Video Propoganda". They should just say, "if you don't vot for us, you'll die".

Fear mongering at it's best! The Republicans have been doing this for years...and it's unfortunate that it works for them.

It's just fucking sickning! I believe that the nation will finally see through the bullshit this time and vote with their brains.

A successful one, in 04! Which is why they are trotting it out again...

But, don't worry. They're not anything like the Bush administration. They told me so.
  • "if you don't vot for us, you'll die".

They have come damn close to actually saying that on several occasions!

    It's sickening.

The kind of party platform that encourages and instigates fear. It's so insulting that they think that American citizens cannot see this. Are they that detached from reality that they cannot see that the average American would be repulsed by this?

Fear IS the path to the dark side.
