The outcome could be dramatically different.

Is America ready to have a black dude on a cereal box every morning for breakfast?

another things that make you go hmmmm moment....

In a time for change, anything could happen.
  • What would they be called? Politic-o's?

McCain would something very boring, with little taste or color.

Obama would be a new brand of cereal that randomly changes to all of the competing brands based on grocery store receipts.
  • My god, things have gotten stupid around here.

At least it's not just another Obama thread.....saying the same crap over and over and over...

Do all president's get a cereal?
    hippiemom = goodness
  • Other than King Vitamin I can't think of any white people on cereal boxes here in the USA. As far as the Wheaties boxes are concerned, they are mostly athletes, so probably just as likely to be any color.

I don't think there's any racial prejudice here in America over cereal boxes. Maybe I'm naive or don't understand the thread.

The parallel is a white v.s. black on a box of cereal for breakfast every morning.

What do you think is going to sell more?

    I think one will.

As a nation, I don't think it matters anymore. Those Wheaties boxes with Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan were in many white homes.

Mark McGwire and Cal Ripken were in plenty of black homes.

What are you trying to say???

Well let's hope it doesn't matter anymore.

This is the silliest thing I ever heard. I thought this thread was funny and now you're playing the "race card".

There has been a pretty multi-cultural representation on Wheaties boxes throughout the years.

The Top 7 Wheaties boxes (ranked by Wheaties) include three African-Americans: Walter Payton, Michael Jordan, & Tiger Woods. Jordan has graced more covers than anybody

    http://www.wheaties.com/history/best_of_best.aspx

From 2006-2007, there have been 21 covers:
    http://www.wheaties.com/history/champions_boxes.aspx?YearPage=0

-13 Teams (the Spurs, Michigan football,Tennessee Women's Basketball, etc.)
    -3 white men-
    -3 African-American men
    -1 Japanese-American (Apolo Anton Ohno)
    -1 Hispanic-American (A-Rod)

If anyone has a complaint it's female athletes who were represented only by the Lady Vols.

I doubt very seriously it has much to do with sales, but the first Jordan box is worth quite a bit.

I'm not sure if sports and politics compare equally...

I'm getting strong vibes that Bobo would be on a box of flakes. Something like Tony the Tiger, but instead he keeps saying "I'mmmm Great!" all the time.

That or Changio's with a strong Cheerio theme....I can see the commercial now...."ever since I made the morning switch to Barak's Changio's, his speeches seem shorter, and everything he says makes some kind of sense that I automatically agree with... afterwards it's like I've awoken from a drug induced sleep....a comedown perhaps....but the more I eat the more I agree.... clearly this is a superior breakfast cereal for helping people watch TV"
