Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

  • The bit in this article that really caught my attention was the following:
    article wrote:
Researchers believe these rocks, brought all the way from Wales, hold the secret to the real purpose of Stonehenge as a place of healing.

    and then:
    article wrote:
Modern techniques have established that many of these people had clearly travelled huge distances to get to south-west England, suggesting they were seeking supernatural help for their ills.

    [...]

Neolithic inscriptions found at this location indicate the ancient people there believed the stones to be magical and for the local waters to have healing properties.

That is helluva interesting, especially considering the (as of now) highly controversial (read: no scientific evidence to support it) theory of "LEY LINES" ... which says that many ancient structures (and even places like Boston, NYC, Philly, DC, and Baltimore) are in line with eachother ... and are placed on certain "ley lines" which correspond with some sort of electromagnetic pulse lines or some sort of force which the ancients were aware of that flowed along certain lines over the earth's surface.

    Interesting.
    Very interesting.
    :D
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

It's great to hear they are doing some more work around Stonehenge. Other historic sites learned a valuable lesson when a lot of digging was done a bit irresponsibly there. (although you can defend it by saying that technology and archaeological theories weren't as well developed at the time)
