Bizarre...

"That is why I am talking after just getting out of jail after 20 years.
I am talking because people need to know the U.S. government and the
Vatican are more dangerous and corrupt then the Mafia ever was."

"The grandson of Lucky Luciano, Gambino made a guest appearance Tuesday on Greg Szymanski's radio show...

The high-level former mobster talked openly for an hour, indicting top
Vatican and U.S. government officials with complicity in high crimes,
treason and assassinations as they worked together "like a tight-knit
happy family" with the Gambino and other Mafia families.

With America's fascination of the Mafia, Gambino's statements should
shake the halls of St. Peter's Basilica, as well as Capitol Hill, since
he talked about his first hand knowledge of George Bush, the Pope and
other high level Jesuits complicity and knowledge of 9/11.

"When you grow up in "The Family" like I did, you learn right off the bat
that protection comes from everywhere, including the CIA, FBI and
blessings from the Vatican who are at the top of the ladder when it comes
to benefiting from Mafia street crime," said Gambino,""

To Rolands credit (and I'm usually one of the first ones - after Jlew - to call him out) he did say "Bizarre".

I think most rational people will see this as simply a publicity stunt from some used up dude just getting out of prison and trying to be somebody again.

If it is true, it could be why the invasion of Afghanistan has "failed" to curb the opiate trade.
I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire

It'll be interesting to see if Hoffa's body shows up where Gambino says it is.

Actually, it seems the opium trade has made quite a resurgence there after the Taliban had put quite a dent in its production.

Who the hell is Tony Gambino? I just finished reading a huge 700+ page book about the American Mafia and there was no mention of a Tony Gambino. The Gambino family is named after Carlo Gambino and he was the only boss ever named Gambino. Plus Lucky Luciano was the founder of the Genovese family not the Gambinos. The book I read covered all the major players so if there even is a Tony Gambino he is probably not as important as the story makes him sound.

    heheh.

Ultra fundamentalists, yeah. If they weren't militantly abusive to their women and children they may be on a par with the Amish.

    laugh it off...

but if you look at the numbers (which here means: amount of poppy crops in the region), one could make the argument that the anyone in charge of the area could stand to make a pretty good profit...
  • this just in: Millions of catholics have renounced their faith in response to Gambino's comments. Vatican City is on fire from looting and vandalism. The Catholic Church has been dissolved.

the good news here is that now we can all sleep at night knowing that american prisons have enough copies of 'the da vinci code' and 'angels and demons' for all inmates.

The more I look into this the more I think "Tony Gambino" is not a real person. If you Google search Tony Gambino and Lucky Luciano, you almost exclusively get links to this story. If you search those words for links that don't mention The Vatican you get almost nothing. There is so much info on the web and in books about the Mafia so why is there no other information about this "Tony Gambino"? It sounds to me like a made up story by a conspiracy theorist.

well it says right in the story that he is the grandson of Lucky.

Shouldn't be too hard to verify if hes real.
Didn't your book come with a family tree?

    sheesh
    :D
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?
