It's rumored one of the arresting officers was overheard saying...

"...well that's how they woulda did it if they had an airport scene in pulp fiction boss..."

"U.S. transportation authorities want to fine the city of Chicago $10,000 for allegedly handcuffing and detaining federal undercover inspectors, sources say.

CHICAGO, July 22 (UPI) -- U.S. transportation authorities want to fine the city of Chicago $10,000 for allegedly handcuffing and detaining federal undercover inspectors, sources say.

Inspectors from the U.S. Transportation Security Administration were conducting an undercover assessment of security at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport when they were seized and handcuffed by unarmed officers working for the city's aviation department, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Tuesday.

The newspaper said the officers refused to let the TSA agents go even after they identified themselves as federal security officials, unnamed sources told the newspaper. As a result, the TSA is recommending a $10,000 fine against the city.

"We followed protocol regarding unauthorized entry into a secure area at the airport. No fine has been assessed" yet by the TSA,"

Nice! On one hand I love that the TSA was inconvenienced, since their mission is to inconvenience the rest of us. On the other hand, I'm not happy that people who speak like this:
"...well that's how they woulda did it "

somehow get jobs in the airport and carry cuffs.

If they could somehow detain each other indefinitely we could get back to unencumbered travel like the good ole days.

How is this not considered a successful drill? I mean undercover TSA officers snoop around secure areas of airport to test security, airport security officers catch them and arrest them, holding them until their identities can be confirmed by supervisors. I mean isn't that exactly what airport security should be doing when they find people snooping around in an airport?

And as far as not releasing them why should the security officers take their word that they are undercover agents? That is like someone arresting me and me telling them I am an undercover cop, and the guy letting me go without checking my story first.

Fuck the TSA. Everytime I have to use an airport they pull me aside for extra searching. 5 out of 5.
