Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Ooooh shit. I canot wait to get back home to look at this. Blackboards and a pointer stick. On TV!
i didn't say "high energy".
I just meant awesome in the sense that it tickled me to watch.

I know. Just playin' along.
they buy stocks from that comany
they make profit
all done with tax dollars
We take the risk, they take the profit
They played their own stock (no bid contracts) and fabricated (lied about) their true wealth (printed money) to steal money from people by causing planned power outages on purpose (war on people) in order to drive rates up to make themselves rich. Exact same deal.

cheney - secretary of defense - halliburton - vp ... the connections are obvious ...
"I would rather die on my feet than to live on my knees."
Emiliano Zapata
These are all publically traded companies. anyone can invest in these stocks, and its known which companies have politicians on the payroll. So why doesn't everyone just invest in these companies and get stinking rich? As far as I know, Haliburton's stock hasnt gone through the roof, so how are these politicians getting rich off these investments?

look at the 5 year ... from like $9 to like $39 ... that's going thru the roof i'd say ...
the truth is yes - i would say that if you have a neocon admin in power - "engineering" companies, oil and gas and defence are good buys ... the thing with this video is that these no bid contracts are paid for by you! ... which is bad because your tax dollars are a) not getting good value and b) they are being spent on things that will not benefit the public - only the people that work there ...
1st.
The stock doubled since its late 90's peak after we invaded Iraq ... and multiplied 4X plus since post 911.

I think the piece you are missing is that
1. it is YOUR money that is going to these companies
2. The people that ran those companies go to politics
3. They maniuplate the policy to benefit their company \ industry \ friends
4. They are often still receiving payouts from these companies
5. They often go BACK to those companies \ industries once out of office
In some ways they are directy assuring their own job security ... "hey i did you good while in office, got a place for me?" ... "Welcome back Dick, ole buddy ole boy!"
... and in other ways, it is a "gentlemans game" where they all compete in the market, but they all steer the market in the favor for ALL of them! And there is no greater shortterm bet on gains than war profits!
You need to read some stuff like Confessions of an Economic Hitman, or The Bush Agenda or i think even Chomsky addresses this stuff among others folk ... regarding how US Politics in general is based on enriching the corporatocracy both at the expense of the American public, and the public of each of the other nations it exploits.
All the WTO and IMF shit is just a scam to bribe 3rd world dictators who care about nothing but their own pockets (except in rare cases, i think it was Torrijos who was portrayed as this in Confessions of an ECH) ... and who are willing to subserve their populace by the deliberately calculated burden of US enslavement to the giant development corporation and energy industries ... ie ... bechtel, haliburton, chevron, etc ...

Increases in stock price ARE investment by "every fund manager and investor" ...i mean when a stock multiplies 4 times in value ... that means there is a serious increase in the demand for that stock.
So many fund managers DID get in on it.
But it certainly isn't everyone.
And the real money is that going directly to the corporations. Not the table scraps fed to the investors.
AND companies like Bechtel are privately held!
