This Iran situation is getting too bizarre...

.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

People fear gov't...rightly so for the most part.

BUT a democratic gov't is a good thing, the more power it has the better. Because a world gov't, or a UN, is a very sound idea when it comes to freedom and human rights, insofar as the people have a meaningful say in the democracy.

You do still have the inevitable problem of minority groups that will be overlooked. The larger the democracy the more minority groups subjected to it. Even an educated, tolerant, peace loving ruling class would have a hard time meeting minority needs. What does that then say for the current ruling class?

Poverty, race, health, religion, education, democracy. How do you unify all of these holistically? Where do you start?

As for an orwellian One World Government. It would likely endorse (or need to conform) to US interests... control of resources first, free market capitalism, second, democracy at best third.

J Webster Baer gave him an endorsement earlier this week.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
