    i just hope to god that hill doesn't get the nomination, because she will get clobbered by mccain. our only hope is obama. he better be up to the job, goddamnit.

    the problem is that people aren't prepared to accept the reality that the US operates with imperialistic ideals and that there is a military industrial complex ...

    one individual stated it best (i forget his name)........the reason most americans are "numb" is because we have not had a major event on our land to unite people, regardless of their political position. i tend to agree.

    A better approach then "Listen to me, because im smarter than you?" Yeah, there are a couple of thousand.

    Perhaps discussing ideas and thoughts and engaging in real debate as opposed to using preachy condescending bullshit. You are not smarter than people who think differently. People who think differently are not sheep, anymore than you are a ron paul sheep. Telling people how their eyes are closed just because you they dont see things the same way you do is a cowards viewpoint.

    I, like others, thought the war was a good idea at the beginning, for a multitude of reasons. However, it has been bungled beyond any reasonable level of still being able to accept it. I am willing to admit my mistake. I am not going to blame my mistake on the media misleading me, or some grand conspiracy. Its easy to always be right, when your mistakes can always be explained away as someone elses fault.

    the thing is tho ... people aren't realizing why the war was wrong and problematic ... it's not because of how it was managed or administered ... it's wrong because of its intent and purpose ...

    something that people are not willing to deal with ... people need to look at US foreign policy over the last 50 years and see that the motives behind these involvements are strictly imperialistic in nature ...

    no one against the war was saying it was bad because this administration is not capable of managing a war ...

    Ah, you make too many assumptions my friend. Way too many. I voted for... gasp... Ron Paul in my state primary. Why? Because i agree with a lot (not all) of what he has to say. Yet i dont come online telling people how blind they are for not seeing it the same way i do. I dont want to know what Hilary or Obama will do if elected, because under no circumstances do i want to see them elected.

    This is not a threat in any way shape or form, merely curious if you speak with such a high and mighty self important tone when there is not a keyboard and a faceless monitor in front of you.

    When a christian speaks about how anyone who isnt a christian is going to burn in hell, or anything like that, I imagine youd be one of the first in line to question what makes them so superior to you in their own mind, but its okay for you?

    Clinton because i think shes a phony. A 100% phony.

    Obama actually is a bit different, and i may have overstated "under no circumstances do i want to see them elected" in regards to him. I am not a fan of the notion of universal health care, and a lot of what i presume will be "big government" liberal notions (notice i didnt say big "spending" because that is no longer exclusive to the democratic party). However, i mentioned in the obama thread why i find him to be intriguing.

    For instance, even though stated policy wise I agree with a lot of Mitt Romneys views... I just find him creepy, and probably couldnt vote for him. Obama is the opposite- i dont know if agree with many of his views and policies, but i see him a potential "leader".
