I mentioned this earlier in a post, but If you haven't seen this documentary you definitely should. Bit torrent is preferred (as always), but youtube will do for the quick and dirty approach.

Part 1

Part 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igzUtGMF9Uw&feature=related

subsequent parts:

Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

If nothing else, people should watch this for some great doubletakes on what Bush has to say and how it contradicts his actions so heavily.

Also, there is some truly remarkable analysis on the media, media ownership, and media's impact on the sociopolitical reality of our times.

What Roland said, check it out.
    :D
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?
  • anyone outraged by the media in America really should check this movie out.

I dunno why good threads like this slip through the cracks with zero response sometimes.

    Sad.
    :(

  • I think people are afraid to realize a lot of what I'm talking about is true.

Great documentary. Just look at the titles of who is talking and what they are saying.

This doc was pinned for a bit when I posted it in another political forum...

Unless you're posting something talking about how Hillary is evil then it's not going to get much fanfare in these parts.
If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

I can't access youtube at work. Torrent is like a foreign word to me. It sounds like something i could easily mess up up. I'll have a look when i get home if i can.

I'm beginning to think perhaps I should start whining about all the Obama threads like everyone else did about Ron Paul...

funny how that all works eh? ;)
