"Editors’ Note: The Ron Paul Vid-Lash
By The New York Times

A post in The Medium that appeared on Monday about the Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul and his purported adoption by white supremacist and neo-Nazi groups contained several errors. Stormfront, which describes itself as a “white nationalist” Internet community, did not give money to Ron Paul’s presidential campaign; according to Jesse Benton, a spokesman for Paul’s campaign, it was Don Black, the founder of Stormfront, who donated $500 to Paul. The original post also repeated a string of assertions by Bill White, the commander of the American National Socialist Workers Party, including the allegation that Paul meets regularly “with members of the Stormfront set, American Renaissance, the Institute for Historic Review and others” at a restaurant in Arlington, Va. Paul never attended these dinners, according to Benton, who also says that Paul has never knowingly met Bill White. Norman Singleton, a congressional aide in Paul’s office, says that he met Bill White at a dinner gathering of conservatives several years ago, after which Singleton expressed his indignation at the views espoused by White to the organizer of the dinner. The original post should not have been published with these unverified assertions and without any response from Paul."

do you get the idea that bill white was across the room and probably like smiled at him.... so obviously...he would assume ron paul would remember him.

I can understand how he could owe an explanation considering his failure to distance himself from these groups and the "Ron Paul Political Report" which has had some racist tones at times obviously:
    ...
Regardless of what the media tell us, most white Americans are not going to believe that they are at fault for what blacks have done to cities across America. The professional blacks may have cowed the elites, but good sense survives at the grass roots. Many more are going to have difficultly avoiding the belief that our country is being destroyed by a group of actual and potential terrorists -- and they can be identified by the color of their skin. This conclusion may not be entirely fair, but it is, for many, entirely unavoidable.

Indeed, it is shocking to consider the uniformity of opinion among blacks in this country. Opinion polls consistently show that only about 5% of blacks have sensible political opinions, i.e. support the free market, individual liberty, and the end of welfare and affirmative action.... Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the "criminal justice system," I think we can safely assume that 95% of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal.

If similar in-depth studies were conducted in other major cities, who doubts that similar results would be produced? We are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, but it is hardly irrational. Black men commit murders, rapes, robberies, muggings, and burglaries all out of proportion to their numbers.

Perhaps the L.A. experience should not be surprising. The riots, burning, looting, and murders are only a continuation of 30 years of racial politics. The looting in L.A. was the welfare state without the voting booth. The elite have sent one message to black America for 30 years: you are entitled to something for nothing. That's what blacks got on the streets of L.A. for three days in April. Only they didn't ask their Congressmen to arrange the transfer.
    ...

He now claims that someone else on his staff wrote this, but he won't say who and and never did a retraction or anything like that(it is from a 1992 newsletter).

Enough to raise some questions? Sure IMO.
  • regardless.. a rather pathetic attempt at a smear campaign falls flat on it's ass almost as quick as it surfaced.

Ron Paul must be doing very well indeed if people are getting this desperate.

He did get the Money from Black, and refused to give it back. No smear there.

I haven't even heard the thing about White, though I don't have interest in the same-old in the white house, so am not keeping up with every piece of news about him.

Maybe desperate to quiet the few people on each message board who constantly post about how perfect Paul is. As he isn't.

Hmm be interested to see the MSM look up all the candidates asses... wonder why that isn't the case? No big mystery there. No smear? hmm riight.

There is no quieting the truth of the matter. Interesting to note that some are bothered greatly by it. Very telling indeed about those individuals.

    You got me! ;)

I get bothered by every polical thread being hijacked by Ron Paul propoganda, even if the discussion has nothing to do with the him. Especially when he is being misrepresented.

I'm not sure what that says about me, but it seems to be telling.
