I doubt anyone caught this much on the local news. Apparently a public hearing now admits only certain kinds of public ;);) ...wait is that still public?

"Citizens against additional funding for Iraq war arrested outside the doors of the Appropriations Committee hearing in the U.S. House of Representatives Rayburn Building."

Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

    God bless 'em.

They could have been a little more organized. They were obviously discriminated against for the attire they wore if indeed they were one of the first there, in line. If they had dressed incognito and gotten into the meeting, their effectiveness would have been that much greater.

Instead of doing all of this stupid protesting, why don't you vote in leaders who aren't weak and spineless. I remember back in November of 2006 you voted in all of the great anti-war individuals. Now look at your "team." They can't even come to one damn conclusion, except that Alberto Gonzalez needs to resign (big deal).

so how does it feel to be so bitter all the time? if your best hope for president is in the GOP, you might feel this way for a long time.

the new congress has turned bush into a lame duck, and at this point in our history i think that is the best thing for the US and the rest of the world.

as far as coming to conclusions goes, its kind of hard to pass any sweeping legislation when bushy threatens to veto anything that conflicts with his agenda. i am just waiting to hear about his administrations next weekly fuck up.

Yay for the democratic system, and damn freedom of assembly is overrated...this is just annoying to me.

yet the central issue will of the next election will still be gay marriage and abortion. I just love politics!!
