" December, 1988. Dow chemical sells $1.5 million in pesticides to Iraq despite knowledge that these would be used in chemical weapons. "

"July 25, 1990. US Ambassador to Baghdad meets with Hussein to assure him that President Bush "wanted better and deeper relations". Many believe this visit was a trap set for Hussein. A month later Hussein invaded Kuwait thinking the US would not respond. "

"August, 1990 Iraq invades Kuwait. The precursor to the Gulf War. "

"June, 1992. Ted Kopple of ABC Nightline reports: "It is becoming increasingly clear that George Bush Sr., operating largely behind the scenes throughout the 1980's, initiated and supported much of the financing, intelligence, and military help that built Saddam's Iraq into [an aggressive power]."

    .

actually the kuwait thing goes deeper than that...iraq had been complaining that kuwait had been stealing oil from iraqi oil fields and violating opec quotas...saddam asked for our help and we replied that we did not "wish to get involved in arab-arab affairs"

then iraq starts a troop buildup on the border, ppl are called to testify before congress asking what will be done? nothing, it's none of our business? the state dept is asked if they invade kuwait would we be obligated to send troops? no is the reply....not even 24 hours later iraq invades kuwait...
    standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
    eager to identify with
    someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way

That's nuts... If is wasn't all so deliberate... it makes me feel sick...

Nice thread, I wonder where Iran are getting their uranium from ?? Probably on back-order from Sears, with a coupla old Dano guitars thrown in to sweeten the deal.

So, lets impose sanctions and starve the people while the warmongers get rich.
Anyone want to come on a peace mission to Iran with me ??
    Music is not a competetion.
