Robert Zoellick, a former U.S. chief trade negotiator and the former deputy U.S. secretary of state, will be the next president of the World Bank, several news agencies reported Tuesday.
Zoellick is currently with the investment bank Goldman Sachs.
The official announcement by U.S. President George Bush is expected to come Wednesday.
Zoellick would replace Paul Wolfowitz, who steps down on June 30.
Interesting, he's a "Vulcan"...

Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Politically, Mr Zoellick is closely aligned with the neo-conservatives. In 1998 he was a signatory to the mission statements of the Project for the New American Century, which called for increased military budgets and the ousting of Saddam...

A couple of years later he wrote an essay in Foreign Affairs magazine which imagined a US foreign policy far more interventionist than initially imagined by Mr Bush as he sought the presidency. He wrote: "A modern Republican foreign policy recognises that there is still evil in the world, people who hate America and the ideas for which it stands...
"Today, we face enemies who are hard at work to develop nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons, along with the missiles to deliver them. The United States must remain vigilant and have the strength to defeat its enemies."...
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
eager to identify with
someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way
Who else? Bush is the world god, until the next American world god gets elected....he will be made to dance as well I imagine.
I never knew there was a self proclaimed group called the Vulcans...
It's all so incredibly and deliberately planned out well in advance...it's creepy. You know something completely orchestrated is always coming down the pipes.
The upper elite seem to have a very firm grip on what is to take place. I'd go so far as to say politics be damned....it's all about the cash and who has it.
But hasn't it always been that way as far back as the written word?
The only solution is to have monthly/weekly/daily?! votings on all important matters. Only then will we start to see the financially insane come to grips and begin to act morally.

The bank is owned by many governments. The US is the largest shareholder in the bank.
