Willie Nelson...soon to be the next new target of mock patriotic hatred.

"Truthstock..."

lol... I love it...

"In an exclusive interview today on the nationally syndicated Alex Jones show, iconic musician Willie Nelson volunteered to take part in a concert for 9/11 truth and as part of a campaign to stave off an attack on Iran.

The country music superstar told listeners that some form of musical event to help generate media attention would be a great idea if it could be organized successfully.

In response to a caller’s suggestion to perform at a concert in aid of 9/11 first responders and their families, as well as to raise the profile of the 9/11 truth movement, Nelson responded:

“I would agree to both of those things in a minute.”

“I think people want to find a way to speak out and let their emotions be heard, and that’s what you and I need to do, we’ll find a hall or a field somewhere and we’ll go over there and do what we can do.” The former Highwayman said.

“I love music and I love crowds, but there’s also something gratifying about saying what you believe.” he continued.

The possible event has already been dubbed “Truthstock” by some, "

Hey, thanks for the info. Even though I'm in Austin, I hadn't heard about this. Way cool - even though I'm not a fan of the performer Willie, I am a fan of the individual.

Willie is fucking great. I guess I haven't seen him in two or three years, so maybe he's gone downhill fast. But the last time I saw him, he was stellar as always.

He plays the guitar better than any 75-year-old lifelong stoner I know.

Anyway, sorry to hear he's a fucking nutjob. I think he just unwittingly made his own "This is your brain on drugs" advertisement.

I'm not even sure he was singing.

Oh yeah ... he really has started to do that "talk-singing" stuff lately. Not a huge fan of that.

It's more about his guitarwork nowadays than his singing.

That writer is really stretching it with that headline...
Being on a call in show, and telling joe public you'd agree to do the concert is hardly planning the damn thing, as the headline would imply to most...

Actually, Willie DID agree to do it, and had Alex call him back the next day over it.

Sounds like it IS a go.

AJ is just freaking out because basicaly Willie is hoping ALEX will run with it and flesh out the details.

Sounds like Jesse Ventura is on board as well.

    I dunno.
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

I saw James Brown perform shortly before he passed. He couldn;t dance or sing as well, but I knew that going in. He's old. I factored it in, and paid my respect to the man with applause for all his life's work and for who he was.

lol...ya, he did agree to it, but only in theory, right? It's only been one mention on a call in show, right? Not "talks"... or am I missing something?

Willie might have a chance planning something like that....but a truth concert put on by AJ? I have doubts AJ would do very well as a concert promoter...I can't imagine many big name artists wanting to align themselves with him, regardless of their beliefs about 9/11. Willie on the other hand.....
I'm surprised it isn't the other way around...AJ hoping Willie will run with it.

Can I be the first to make the Farm Aid / Foil Aid joke? How 'bout Kool Aid? :D
