"Bush wants 50 military bases, control of Iraqi airspace and legal immunity for all American soldiers and contractors

A secret deal being negotiated in Baghdad would perpetuate the American military occupation of Iraq indefinitely, regardless of the outcome of the US presidential election in November.

The terms of the impending deal, details of which have been leaked to The Independent, are likely to have an explosive political effect in Iraq. Iraqi officials fear that the accord, under which US troops would occupy permanent bases, conduct military operations, arrest Iraqis and enjoy immunity from Iraqi law, will destabilise Iraq's position in the Middle East and lay the basis for unending conflict in their country. "
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Iraq should become our next state after ALL that emperor Bush wants in Iraq.

I'd be ticked at Bush if I didn't know he was just a pawn...a front, really.

Speaking of Iraq? How can the press give me a number of Muslims killed by that guy in Serbia but can't come up with a number for Iraq? Funny that is.

    For what?
I pledge to you a government that will not only work well, but wisely, its ability to act tempered by prudence, and its willingness to do good, balanced by the knowledge that government is never more dangerous than when our desire to have it help us blinds us to its great power to harm us.

a Front yes, a pawn no. He is a leader.. a willing partner. We will not be free unless we take the first step and arest him. Congress wont help because they know they'd be next
  • I always found it amusing for the people who fell for the "Freeing IRaq" goal post moving thing - I mean seriously - what in the pasts of Cheney/Wolfie/Rummy/W/Condi etc...would lead anyone to believe they were interested in freeing the oppressed of the world? They weren't exactly freedom crusaders in the private sector.

They are oil men and women...and big players in the oil game.

    Do the math.
