I'm not talking about the situation. I'm talking about the people.
Furthermore, this stunt shows the type of wackos that believe this stuff.
I think you're missing the point. I think all these 600 people know that by hanging out naked on a glacier they won't stop global warming or make government realise that alternative energy must become a priority. They just remind everyone that (they believe) global warming is still a threat. I think all these groups are really smart and organised, global warming (as a subject) is something that has not left the spotlights for a long time know. And if some people have to get naked in order to pursue that, so be it.
As for the wackos thing, what is so crazy about protesting naked? It beats violent protests.

Here! Here! *claps* I believe that the use of the artistic as a form of protest is an excellent way to get your point across. These photographs are certainly something that spark interest and has people discussing them, which is a very clever way of bringing a subject to light or keeping it in the spotlight. And you're so right, naked protesting is far more effective and natural than violent protesting!

I think they just wanted an excuse to get naked.
The only people we should try to get even with...
...are those who've helped us.
Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

exactly.
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow
i think the point was that the only sane approach to such matters is to quietly resign to fate.
stop trying to make a difference, you are crazy if you think you can.
that was the point as i read it.
If I opened it now would you not understand?
