Upheaval in the Middle East and Islamic civilization could cause another world war, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations was quoted as saying in an Austrian newspaper interview published on Monday.
Zalmay Khalilzad told the daily Die Presse the Middle East was now so disordered that it had the potential to inflame the world as Europe did during the first half of the 20th century.
"The (Middle East) is going through a very difficult transformation phase. That has strengthened extremism and creates a breeding ground for terrorism," he said in remarks translated by Reuters into English from the published German.
"Europe was just as dysfunctional for a while. And some of its wars became world wars. Now the problems of the Middle East and Islamic civilization have the same potential to engulf the world," he was quoted as saying.

Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

The seeds of the third world war were well and trully planted when we armed lsrael with nukes, causing an arms race in the middle east, causing Iran and Iraq to seek there own methods of mass destruction.
oh and we are in the third world war right now!www.myspace.com/rockmastergeneral
To break down borders and realise that we are one species and then the true patriotism comes from pride and love of the human race, not from the tribes of which we currently are divided, open your eyes your mind will see! - ME0 -
I'm beginning to really see that The NAU agreement has a large portion of military appeal to it. Intoxicating really. One huge North American fighting force commanded at will.
Raising draft age by 6 years...toss in talks and ongoing mention of bringing the draft back. Declarations of war against an invisible spawned tactic called terrorism. You can see the minds behind the scenes turning the gears...feeling out the new military machine.
I bet their itching to take that baby for one hell of a test drive.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,

Why certainly they would take it for a ride cause they'll be more protected than we'll ever be.

Peace
They'll be shot in to the stratosphere. Untouchable. Newfound power X 10,000.
I'm sure they find it all extremely arousing to think about if you know what I mean.
I get the overwhelming feeling Bush did his little war just like Daddy did, and for the exact same reasons.
I agree though that we are in the preface of WW3 right now, unless opinions and actions in America change drastically.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
