Hillary Campaigners Held Hostage, Briefly

One Leeland Eisenberg of Somersville NH decided to walk into Hillary's campaign office in Rochester NH today with an alleged bomb strapped around his chest and it was big news all day. Where in the hell are you guys?

they aren't sure yet whether or not it was a bomb. His step son walked into the diner across the street during the hostage crisis and told reporters that his step dad had bought highway flares.

Having watched the whole thing since I got home at 5 pm EST tonight, I can say that CNN had the scoop because they announced right after the arrest that they'd been on the phone with Lee and a woman he was holding hostage. They also gave his name away before his arrest, while Fox News was still calling him Troy Stanley. (One would hope, by the way, that Fox apologizes to Troy Stanley and his family, if he truly exists.)

Call me a cynic, I don't mind, but I think the Hill Camp set this whole sad thing up. Her huge lead in NH is now only 7 digits above Obama's. We already know about Obama's lead in Iowa. The DNC dinner was scheduled for tonight in DC and only Chris Dodd wasn't scheduled to appear, but suddenly this happens and POOF Hillary has a crisis and grabs the spotlight.

Turns out that Troy Stanley, the man that Fox News briefly accused of being the hostage-taker at Hillary Clinton's NH campaign office, was not guilty, but he does indeed exist. And my link to the Nov. 7 police report shows that the man does indeed have a recent record.
