    odd that leonard peltier, possibly the reason Geffen criticized Clinton in the first place, isnt mentioned at all in the article.

    Its odd when we as a society refuse to talk about real issues. Instead of sending more kids to iraq and ruining more families, maybe we should bring them all home, and then release leonard peltier from his cell. He has spent 30 years in jail for a crime he is innocent of.

    No wonder he still sits like a caged animal in jail. No one talks about his case, at least in the mainstream press.

    Yet he has quite a few high profile supporters, Mandela, Oliver Stone, Ben Harper, Bono, the late John Paul II, Amnesty International, Robert Redford, Rage Against the Machine, Mikail Gorbachov, Rev. Desmond Tutu, Sharon Osbourne, Pam Anderson, Johnny Depp, Winona Rider, Tim Burton, Dustin Hoffman, Melanie Griffith, Jude Law, Sienna Miller, Susan Sarandon, Hellen Mirren, Tim Robbins, Sting, Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne, Kylie Minogue, Marilyn Manson, madonna, elton john, coolio, cher, yoko ono, noami campbell, kate moss, dita von teese, armani, calvin klein, donatella versace etc...

    its time leonard peltier was freed, and those who sent him to prison were punished to the full extent of the law.

    He is not guilty of the crimes, but he is guilty of two more important "crimes": he is native american, and he has a political conscience. Obviously those are dangerous to the state and the system

    when Geffen's comment first made the news, but then the whole Hillary/Obama argument became more important to the media than the reasons behind it.
