Meanwhile, unless you haven't been watching the news today, you must've seen that the 2nd in Command of our troops, Petraeus or whatever his name is, today said that they are trying to call for a Cease Fire in Iraq as of today.
In the same news story about the cease fire, Patraeus or whatever his name is said that he doesn't think he can meet the September deadline for his assessment of the surge in troops, and will need more time. He reassures us that he will give an assessment in September, but it may be incomplete. Because he needs more time.
You all know already about the news statement Bush made yesterday about the need for US troops to stay in Iraq for decades just like we already stay in South Korea (even though S. Korea has a DMZ and we are there at South Korea's happy invitation) from my post last night, and I would think you all already know about the future Iraq's US Embassy site plans being leaked to the world from the US's own contractor in Kansas City (I would HOPE you know, by now), but if you don't, all you have to do is visit Yahoo.com.
Or HuffPo.com.
Your choice.
I'll finish by saying, I would love to see Bush impeached, but so far Gonzalez is still AG and Cheney is still VP and Kucinich and Gravel aren't able to make enough of a difference with mainstream America, much as I'd love to see it be otherwise.
It's up to us to stay informed. Watch the news on the internet....watch the blogs instead of Fox. STAY INFORMED.
