Or not.

And we wonder why over 50% of marriages end in divorce? ;)

I thought it was fairly obvious that by enlarge women are the bosses at home. What I don't agree with is the assertion that this "signals" a healthy marriage.

Its possible the results from the other tests were as such because they were biased. Its not a proper method to look at wages to determine who makes decisions, thats totally non sequitor.

I'd like to know what David Vogel thought was advantagous about it, in addition to Megan Murphy and the author Jeanne Bryner. Assuming the latter are females.

Murphy's claim "There's been research that suggests that's a marker of a healthy marriage—that men accept influence from their wives," is not cited in the article. Its also not the same saying "accept influence" as "accept dominance". Being influenced and dominated are different things. The statement is proposterous in the context of the research.

I agree... And most of the time, we just want to watch the game peacefully. So we just nod our heads hoping for some silence.

But seriously, this joke applies in many situations. Fleeing the scene.

Do all of these articles and research on this stuff kind of seem redundant or superfluous to anyone?

I mean this is just basic stuff.

Any harmonious relationship has good and well balanced communication.

Why are you with someone if you don't value thier opinion or viewpoint?

Money? Body? Habit? Like opposites? Social habit? Parental obligation? Fear of loneliness? Trapped in a relationship? Fear of conflictual breakup? No need for the upper hand? Love?

    I don't know.

With a little luck, it can even stop even earlier.

    exactly.
i read that article the other day, somewhere, can't remember....and i thought pretty much the same thing. i also remember a couple years ago reading about how car dealerships were completely revamping how they sell their cars, who they sell to, etc. it seems some sales studies were done and more often than not, the *ultimate buying decision* in a marriage/family....was up the female. totally changed how the sales people went about it.

i honestly don't find it odd in the least. don't know if i would slap the label *power* on it, but sure i see it in most relationships i witness,in my own marriage. it's not a conscious decision, just how it goes...and hell yea, it's ALL about communicating with each other.

and sure, recognizing that 99% of the time, we're right. ;)

For some reason, I'm really into the Lennon quotes lately. They just mean so much at the time.
