Just met Stone

about 45 minutes ago at the Vince Mira thing at the Showbox...
Talked to him for about 20 seconds...I complimented him on his set, I asked him if he could sign my 5 x 1 book (on the tennis playing page, because mike had already signed that page), thanked him for bringing Vince Mira, etc. to our attention because this was the second time we have come to Seattle to see him...and then I said - "Save the salmon!" He laughed. Mostly he said "you're welcome"...and he wanted to watch the Roy Kay Trio, so I beat a hasty retreat. I kinda went backstage without having a pass or anything. He was standing in the doorway...Didn't want to be a pest...
Vince Mira is absolutely amazing!! And Stone's live Hank Williams is incredibly beautiful! I was right at the stage about 5 feet from him and wow! I LOVE how he plays his guitar and how suited he is to that Hank Williams lyric and timbre...Incredible!
As the show was not about stone, it wouldn't have been appropriate to pummell him with questions about a tour or a new album. PJ will get to that in due time...
So yeah...just wanted to share...

I think I'm going to spend the day Monday loading things onto photobucket and then post links over in AET...
It was such an AWESOME trip - and meeting stone at the end of it was super fantastic!
Save the salmon!
Really, I AM no good. No stone photos and no info about PJ related things...I shall hang my head in shame...
