    it's not about surprise, it's about all the secrecy they've claimed in every aspect of anything...they can't hide the truth forever...Nixon tried, Bush is trying, but Karl Rove's playbook & tactic's can't stand the test of time.

    I see impeachment coming if they don't start working with Congress on some of the issues in question. They think they can wait things out, but either they are going to start cooperating, impeachment will happen, and regardless they will lose more senate and congressional seats in 2008, the White House is the Dem's already, all they can do is lose it if they can't be strong and smart.

    I'm not so sure impeachment would be the best thing if Democrats wish to win the White House?

    Not only will we NOT be doing the work of the American people??? Excuse me, but Bush and Cheney and Gonzalez are literally ripping our country's Constitution to shreds. The people are learning more every day, and the people are getting angry. As for galvanizing the Republican base, more and more of them are starting to distrust Bush and Cheney themselves! And with no viable Republican candidate running, who in the hell are the Republican base gonna galvanize FOR?! This is a bunk statement. Bunk.

    (Heh heh, I sound like Mike Gravel....and I don't really mind!)

    In the parts of that I saw of that joke of a debate the Dem's had the other night, Gravel's impassioned defense of his statement that the Vietnam was a war in vain was the only thing honest and truthful to come out of it. Maybe Kucinich had a chance to answer as well, but I didn't see it. Obama skirted the question, Edwards out and out denied it.

    Hillary and Edwards want to get rid of him (and apparently Kucinich and Biden and Richardson and Dodd too), but I think Gravel keeps them all in check, and more power to him.

    And he IS right about our troops dying in vain, dammit.

    Personally, I'd love to see Me + MiniMe get Impeached but the pussies down the street in Congress won't do it. Bring back the draft then you see America give up complacency, Wake Up and say "Oh Hell No We Won't Go".
