Stealing is stealing... isn't it?
How would you feel if you were an artist or photographer and someone bought one copy of your work and made it available to anyone on the Internet? And how yourld you feel is someone on the Internet took a free copy and sold it?
I'd probably be pretty pissed.... and I'm guessing a good number of you would be, too.

Hail, Hail!!!
I've worked with many bands, and we have always scanned ebay to make sure nobody used the likeness of the band on unauthorized merch, nor sold any bootlegs.
It should totally be up to the band if they want to share their music for free.
Plenty of bands make some songs available for free, so I don't think it is too much to respect the rights of an artist when it comes to obeying the download laws!
and sure, some artists are filthy rich, but I don't think that fact is a valid reason to steal their music!
apparently she didn't. as far as i know, this has never reached the supreme court. until that happens there is an argument (albeit a weak one) that the previous cases were decided wrongly and not a proper application of the law.
for me, i don't understand why you can make a copy of a cd for a friend and it's legal, but share things in other ways and it isn't.
it is not legal for you to make a copy for your friend.
i am pretty sure there is a good deal of precedent on this situation, albeit, analogous precedent. it comes down to the magical notion of consideration and waiver.
What about if you're already a millionaire? Why would you care, you already have millions?!

If you are responding to me... then, look at what you are saying in a relative situation. Are you are saying it is okay for someone who has less then you have to siphon gasoline from car's gas tank... because you have a job and can just buy more gas? It is okay for someone to who has nothing to eat to to take thing from you?
I'm guessing your answer would be, "No".

If it is not in response to me... then, Nevermind.

"What a stupid lamb."
"What a sick, masochistic lion."
I sure hope they throw-in some bonus tracks, as that will greatly reduce the cost per song!
