Take my hand, my child of love
Come step inside my tears
Swim the magic ocean,
I've been crying all these years

Did you mean to say 'cavorted'?
ca·vort (kə-vôrt') Pronunciation Key
intr.v. ca·vort·ed, ca·vort·ing, ca·vorts
To bound or prance about in a sprightly manner; caper.
To have lively or boisterous fun; romp: The children cavorted in the water, splashing and ducking each other.
I personally don't believe that Muslims want me to bound or prance about in a sprightly manner. But then, I could be wrong.
I certainly hope they don't want to romp with me! All that chanting and yelling they do would get on my nerves and cause me to lose my boner!
There are some Muslim's who would like us all to revert. There are others who are not so concerned with it. There are still others who think that all who are not Muslim should die.
There are Christians who are like this as well.

‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.
And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

Wow, that was one heck of an educated post.
There are fundamentalists in every religion. Unfortunately we live in a time where muslim fundamentalism is heavily promoted and used by corrupt a-holes who manage to rope easily impressionable people in for a 'greater good'. That has always worked well in the past. The poorer the people, the easier they are going to believe some bullshit if it promises a way to greener pastures.
They love you so badly for sharing their sorrow, so pick up that guitar and go break a heart - Kris Kristofferson
Thankyou for setting me straight on the meaning of Islam. I'm glad that we have people like yourself around to educate us on these complex issues.
it all made sense when i saw your location. i guess muslims are your generations version of grandaddys black man.
Interesting how people can just ... make shit up.
One bigoted comment probably doesn't deserve another.
What part of this sentence of enharmonic's quote do you feel is made up shit?
I don't expect anything more than that from this board though.

Islam proper is not older than Christianity. Middle Eastern culture, yes. The religion known as Islam, no.
Yeah I guess it depends on how militant the person or group is who are advocating the religion I suppose.

Is that an attempt at a joke? It isn't real funny.

I didn't make it up, and it's not shit. The operative word was "opine". There have been any number of scholarly debates regarding the origins of both systems.
Christianity was accepted in 391 by the Romans. Islam is given an official "start" date of 610. However, the Qur'an states that Islam existed before the Qur'an. Reverting is the condition of returning to the pure spirit, as far as I understand.
The original teachings of Muhammad were preserved by scribes. The teachings of Jesus are hearsay at best. Several of the Gosples attributed to apostles were not even written by the apostles.

lol @ hearsay. Oral tradition..the same way Mohammed teachings were first circulated.
The only difference being that Jesus was actually correct.........
Correct about what?

Miller, hit the books. There's not a shred of evidence to support your assertion. It's all "faith", whatever that is.
muhammad had scribes. Jesus did not. As for oral tradition, I would like you to remember the teacher who has had the most profound impact on you in your life, and quote their teaching verbatim. To make it somewhat fair, lets take your favorite teacher form 30 years ago, since that's about how long it took for a Christian to write the first gospel after Jesus was crucified.

I wasn't referring to you making shit up ... I meant the people who believe that Islam is older. There's no evidence that's the case, and if you go by these official start dates (themselves kind of a funny concept), Islam is the younger faith.
Sorry. How did I get the quote wrong?
