Sorry,

Great, she didn't abort the baby. More power to her. I commend her. She's SO "brave" for keeping the baby.

We get it. Great.

BUT!!! She has a "special needs" child. You don't think furthering her political career should take a back seat to her son?

I sure as fuck, DO!

I guess she "cares so much about America" that she's willing to hand off care of the child to someone else.

Fucking great. I think I actually HATE Republicans now. Seriously... hate. This is just complete fucking insane bullshit.

If John McCain wins this election, fuck this fucking country.

Also.. I hate the media now too. She voted for earmarks before she voted against them, and this is the shit we hear about... Fuck that.
Love is more important to me than faith.

  • I agree with you on this...I feel she's taken politics over her family in many aspects.

I don't understand how she gets all this credit for being a great working mom with 5 kids. Anybody can "have kids" I believe one of them is an umarried pregnant teen. Good job!

you got to be kidding me?

should Obama stop running because he has two kids?

Probably not a good thing to hate all republicans...Believe it or not, they are not all bad.

But what other reasons for your hate? The war? Patriot act? the way they went on after 9/11?

You hate the dems also? You know they were holding hands with the republicans through all of that.

I can't help but think about that too. A baby that young deserves time anyway but a special needs kid usually requires more. Who's that little guy bonding to?

I think it's crazy to think she could raise five children WELL while pursuing a career as Vice President of the United States!!

  • Last I checked, Sarah Palin has a husband. I'm sure he is more than qualified to take care of the kids.

Funny how nobody questioned whether Joe Biden should quit the Senate after his wife died in a car accident ... shouldn't he put HIS kids first?

Such a stupid -- and borderline sexist -- line of argument.

Let's check back in twenty years and see how her kids turn out. :)

Yep you're absolutely right- no one with a child who has down syndrome should have a job. Better yet, they shouldn't even be allowed to leave the house. Gimme a break.

Pointless thread. So I assume that every parent who works and has a special needs child is a bad parent or maybe just the Republican ones.

I can't believe how much childish, immature scrutiny and grief she's gotten. Grow up, people!

Oh wait - Haven't you Dems forgotten that you all want the government to raise our children for us anyway? Perhaps she's going straight to the source.
The only people we should try to get even with...

You folks are all so ready to jump on this as if it's unreasonable for someone who is selling themselves on the point of "conservative family values" to be questioned on whether or not it is a good decision for an individual family to scale back on working when they have a new-born child with special needs.

Why are you all so unwilling to accept the fact that a special needs kid MIGHT need more attention than just being taken care of in the cracks between working and campaigning.?!

People are SO worried about being politically correct about the issue of moms having equal rights that they are ready to throw children under the BUS rather than considering the fact that people really can't do their best for handicapped children if they aren't PAYING ATTENTION to them and devoting EXTRA love to them.

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but child-rearing is more important than any job in the long run. It's a human's life. A human the parent brought in to the world.
