Yeah, I saw that and wondered too. Like......... "I love life enough to kill anyone who threatens it ", almost as good as teh thread picking on Ed over spelling , witht the spelling errors in it.
stop dwelling on this. its a simple statement of justice. if someone killed a person close to you what would you demand? so why not feel for the millions killed everyday for no other purpose than the indirect financial gain of others. do you not feel for them?

If I were you, I would demand life imprisonment. Or, some sort of rehabilitation.

OK, that's why I asked, what is this thrad really about, cos i'm not getting it.

TBH , I don't dwell on every injustice in this world. Humans have been turds to each other since the dawn of time, yet at the same time managed to invent "humanity" or humane thinking. I think our societies have generally less violence in them than at any time in the past, even though there is still too much. I can't fix that, so I just do teh best I can with my tiny part of teh world every day. If I dwell on bad stuff too much, I get depressed and that doesn't help me or anyone.

i wouldn't i'm sorry. it's something i feel very strongly about. if its an "accident" scenario then i agree with you whole heartedly, but whoever has the arrogance to take life away with their own malicious intent/ desire in mind, then they must not have any more days.

War is a different story all together. its kill or be killed in war, so i can't even get into that. our troops could speak for themselves. just felt i had to mention that because i foresaw(if thats even a word, let alone the spelling) this coming into the discussion soon.

Which makes mdig's sig even more baffling. But, I do generally agree with your point.

I understand what you're trying to say. I'm a staunch conservative with no religious affiliations, at all. That's hard for most people here to understand. We all have our peculiarities

it was in response to the many 6 to 7 figure number of deaths worldwide that seemed to be a mere after thought to a few people on this thread. it's not very coherent opinion i gave. its filled with hypocrisy and irony that many dwelled on. i do dwell on some of the injustice in the world, i try not because it gets me down. it was a sort of "love your fellow man (and woman), but don't screw them for your betterment" thread.

I guess we all do the best we can, but are not really empowered to alter what you are referring to. I'm not sure which 6-7 figure deaths you are talking about.
Mind you, there is no winning here. Let's say fro example you are talking about starvation in Africa. If we interfere, that is Western Imperialism, if we don't, we are heartless selfish bastards.
If we are talking natural disasters, well, apparently they are "Gods will" or "Acts of God", so you are either gonna have to talk to him or some of his subscibers, but I'm a devout athiest, so I'll pass on that one.
War, well thta is a big business there are plenty of reasons for it and people out there who profit from it and foster it, but I doubt any are here on this board.
Most of the kids here are very idealistic and keen for social justice in a way that I was very much myself before I became a bit worn down by life.
The Moving Train attracts a lot of impassioned and informed thought and apathy is not a notable characteristic of this turf. So no-one is suggesting they have all the answers to everything, so what ??

You are still not really being very clear about what your point is, but hey, that's OK too !!!!!!!!!

I like life. Life is nice. It is the only life that I know. So I like it. When I die and my life that I know ends. I wonder if I will get to laugh at the people still living and hoping in an afterlife. I like life.
You've changed your place in this world!

Life is more valuable than anything on this planet. i hope nobody on this message board ever forgets that. Its more valuable than country and religion. the numbers that are thrown around on the network news channels and in the newspapers are not merely numbers, each one is a human being who deserves life. Those directly responsible for the taking of life should be wiped out in one fell swoop. Those who manipulate the public to fund and support death should suffer. I know its more complicated than this, and that human nature is responsible for what is wrong and right with this world, but life is all we have. Their is significance in all life, living life is significant enough.

What a contradiction! You say that life is more valuable than anything, and then you advocate killing.

There are very, very few reasons to justify killing.
In the shadow of the light from a black sun
Frigid statue standing icy blue and numb
Where are the frost giants Ive begged for protection?
