What are the views of Eddie and what makes a difference to him, what causes is he behind? I don't know much about his ideals on sociology, politics and the like but I sure would like to know...How about any quotes???

First of all... have you ever heard them do, "Masters Of War"? It's a cover of a Dylan song, it's riveting, Vedder sings that one like he's face to face with the weight of the world.

Corduroy (which has personal political significance)
A cover of "Know Your Rights" by The Clash
A cover of "Kick Out The Jams" by RATM
...Have you seen/heard their new album? A few themes about being anti-war, libertarian, and patriotic yet entirely disconnected by the current calamity presiding at the head of the state...
There's more to Pearl Jam than a short list of songs, there's enough meaning and significance in their music to entertain the whole world... because every person has their own definitions of what these songs mean.
Educate yourself, figure it out yourself... have fun, good luck.
Masters Of War is probably the best example of any sort of political message presented in mainstream media, ever. It's a brutal song, it's wonderful.
We know how you feel.

Yes, that cover of Masters of War is brilliant! It gives me goose pimples. Also I thought that "Kick Out The Jams" was by MC5, although RATM covered it. No matter!
And we could add a boatload of other songs, such as Grievance, Insignificance, World Wide Suicide, Army Reserve, etc ....
