i'm willing to bet my ass these shows are just eddie, people are flying in from all corners of the world to see eddie solo, i'd be pretty pissed if i traveled thousands of miles for a solo session and it turned out to be pearl jam, which i've seen before, and wouldn't consider spending big bucks and traveling such great distance for more of the same, these tickets were sold through ticketmaster to eddie vedder, it's eddie vedder, nonetheless, it'd be pretty sweet to see the rest of the guys as a 'backing'buf dtw buf sce yyz tol grr yhm yyz pit yyz yyz pit bna cae aus lax lax san phl phl cle buf mke mke atl pit buf clt san lax lax gsp cae bna sea sea blq bna aus aus lga lga0

I'm going to the last five shows. I would be ecstatic too if members of PJ were present.. I would really rather just see EV solo and that's why I'm going.. It will be so different and fun.. I just think there is going to be a big April Fools suprise. They had to name the tour that for a reason.. I never said the tweet would mention the April Fools tour though.. I think it will be something else.. Like you said, you can't reveal an April Fools joke in March...Buy the ticket, Take the ride..

I agree the odds are it will just be Ed... but.. I don't see how anyone could be upset if other members of PJ were to show up and they play together.. You can't like EV and not PJ...Buy the ticket, Take the ride..

i wouldn't be upset if other members showed up and played together, but the anticipation is for a mostly acoustic set with eddie solo, so if we got a full-fledged, rocked out pearl jam set, that isn't really the expectation and i would understand if members of the audience were disappointed to a certain degreebuf dtw buf sce yyz tol grr yhm yyz pit yyz yyz pit bna cae aus lax lax san phl phl cle buf mke mke atl pit buf clt san lax lax gsp cae bna sea sea blq bna aus aus lga lga0 -

in my opinion, i've seen pearl jam 13 times, i know what i'm getting from them on a night to night basis, it's an incredible performance that i will travel near and far to see. that being said, for this particular tour, i'm traveling thousands of miles to see eddie solo, and that is what i want to see, eddie solo - so yes, i would be disappointed if it were, as i put it in my most recent post, a full-fledged, rocked out pearl jam concert - at this point it's clear i want to see eddie show off his solo talent, and i feel very fortunate that one, i was able to secure tickets via ten club, and two, i am able to travel cross country for what is sure to be an incredible weekend, see everyone in la!buf dtw buf sce yyz tol grr yhm yyz pit yyz yyz pit bna cae aus lax lax san phl phl cle buf mke mke atl pit buf clt san lax lax gsp cae bna sea sea blq bna aus aus lga lga0

yeah, i'm not sure where i came up with the mostly acoustic set other than my own expectations of a solo session, nevertheless, i expect a bunch of acoustic stuff, perhaps "mostly acoustic" as i put it, but undoubtedly there will be pieces of the non-acoustic variety, all in all it doesn't matter he could sit up there naked, play his flute, and one way or another, i'd likely be satisfiedbuf dtw buf sce yyz tol grr yhm yyz pit yyz yyz pit bna cae aus lax lax san phl phl cle buf mke mke atl pit buf clt san lax lax gsp cae bna sea sea blq bna aus aus lga lga0

I agree it will be at least half acoustic... Ed just has too much energy to just sit there and do acoustic songs all night is all I'm saying.. I am also traveling and spending lots of hard earned money on these shows and my intention is also to see Ed solo.. I have seen PJ ten times over the last 17 years and I agree that it is pretty much the same every night.. just new songs as time progresses.. I can't wait to listen to him play and talk to us.. It will be a great chance for long-time fans of his to actually get to know him on a more personal level.. I don't care what he does either.. It will put a smile on my face no matter what he does.. The unknown aspect of these shows is what makes them so exciting..Buy the ticket, Take the ride..

Nice how you took that coment out of context... I'm just saying I personally don't get off seeing them multiple times on the same tour because the shows are relatively similar.. I understand they change up the setlists and the arrangements of the songs and the phasing and all that.. They are more different night to night than anyone since the Grateful Dead... I agreee.. I just have better things to do than spend all my money and time following them around on a tour... I have seen them on pretty much every tour...so don't ever question my enthusiasm or dedication..
I am seeing the last five shows of the April Fools tour because that is guaranteed to be something new... I just get a little bored with PJ sometimes.. there are other bands out there you know.. I like to mix it up a bit...Buy the ticket, Take the ride..

To each their own I guess - I've seen many many other bands - but very few I see a lot outside of Pearl Jam - the only other acts I've probably seen more then 10 times is Ben Harper, the Boss and Martin Sexton - they all put on great live shows. I've seen a ton of other acts........nothing beats PJ however IMO.SHOW COUNT: (170) 1990's=3, 2000's=53, 2010/20's=114, US=124, CAN=15, Europe=20 ,New Zealand=4, Australia=5

I agree that no one beats them live.. I just think the shows would be even more exciting if they mixed it up even more than they do. They don't have THAT MANY albums when you think about how long they have been around.. So maybe doing more covers mixed in with their orginals could make the shows more unpredictable... Kind of like the Grateful Dead did..ya know..Just sayin'....Buy the ticket, Take the ride..
