Is Barack Hussein Obama Too Sensitive To Run?

I guess Maureen Dowd made some comments about Obama's ears being too big at a recent event. Then Obama got upset and made some comments to Dowd about being sensitive and he doesnt like being made fun of. She responded by telling him that they are trying to toughin him up.

Umm, did anyone tell him that running for State Senate in Illinois and running against Keyes for US Senate in a Blue state is a little different then President? The Republicans run political campaigns like a heavyweight boxer, they are good. They even got that retard Bush elected TWICE! I got a feeling if Obama runs in '08, it will be a big failure.

    obama is solid.

how would al gore react to being told he has a stupid look on his face?

how would john edwards react to being told he has a plastic smile?

how would GWB react to being told he looks like a goof when he's thinking?

these guys are vying for the highest office in the land and any little slight against what they bring to the table, looks included, gets met with brute force. dems, repubs, greens, indys...any way you slice it. nobody wants to have a quick remark about their appearace to define who they are.

I think its kind of silly that someone (Dowd) thinks making insults about someone's personal appearance is the way to toughen them up. He called her on it - that's not sensitive, that's holding her accountable for her words. I think he'll do just fine.

His middle name makes me want to vote for him even more. The irony of completely screwing up a war in Iraq we never should have started only to follow it by electing a president named Hussein makes it too good not to.

Especially since Barack Husein Obama just ROLLS off the tounge, it's as catchy as John Fitzgereld Kennedy
  • I like what I've seen of Obama so far. I've only seen him interviewed on Jay Leno and heard good things about him; I have yet to here his speechs. As far as him being too sensitive, he has plenty of time from now until Nov. 2008 to toughen up some more. He gets my vote so far. Go Obama! :)

Definitely. How 'ironical' would that be?

At this point, I don't care if his name is Adolph Mussolini, we need a change. "Stay the course" isn't working.

Well, since Dubya cant run a third term, we will get a change no matter what. So dont order that "Anybody But Bush '08" sticker yet.

We might be guaranteed to get someone besides President Bush, but I don't think that President McCain would bring about the changes I'm looking for.
