Whatever happened to all the mustard gas and sarin from the Iran-Iraq war?

I just seen the movie W. and there was a line in the movie that made me ask a question to myself. Basically the scene was when Bush Sr. asked his advisors could he have his troops run into Iraq. His advisors said 'no' because of the bio suits they would have to wear.

Where are these gallons of poison gases? They were there during the Iran-Iraq conflict. You can't destroy the stuff fairly easily either. We still have stock piles of this stuff that we just buried because of the cost to destroy it. Do you think it buried in the sand? Sent or Syria? Stolen? Now, please don't get this mixed up with WMDs (anthrax) and small nukes. This is a bit different. These are gases that Saddam did have stockpiles of. Any ideas?

it's not that difficult to find a place to bury it in the desolation that is Iraq. As for the U S, we destroy it, I've been to some of the facilities when I was in the Army. I was NBC among other things. I'm sure some was hidden/buried, but that's not the policy or procedure. It's burned at super high tempurates I believe. It does take a long time to do this though.

Also, Saddam may not have made as much as was reported could be a part of the equation also. Then we have the inspections throughout the 90's, this may have led to less being made, some being destroyed, buried, or given away....

Good things to know. I'm just surprised this never really came up on the news. I do know from a long time ago from 60 minutes that mustard gas is easy to produce and very expensive to get rid of. I don't think Sadamm would pay for it to dispose of it properly. I wonder if the US is hiding these caches in Iraq because they dont want to pay for it to dispose it.

Most of it was documented and shipped out by U.N. Weapons Inspectors after the First Gulf War. I believe a lot of it went to or through Turkey, en-route to Europe and shipped over here for containment and disposal.
