Do me a favour. Look at this list and consider how many items by PG are in your house right now;

http://www.pg.com/common/product_sitemap.jhtml

How did this company come to be so successful? Reading a 'Herbal Essences' bottle is like spraying black paint over your eyes.

Why do P&G logos depict images of nature, flowers etc behind the logo? They do not represent nature, they represent greed. Nothing more.

How do these fuckers get away with marketing their products as being attractive and sexy? You've seen the commercial with a woman climaxing in the shower? Now we need to be educated about all the stages that were necessary to get that bottle of herbal essences orgasm shampoo in your hand. I can think of nothing more repulsive, spiritless and sexually uninteresting than their actions which are described here in detail;

Proctor & Gamble admit that they continue to test on animals

Now consider their fake image & marketing techniques again.

They should replace that image of nature with one of a dead mouse, gutted and bleeding from it's lungs with a needle shoved through it's thorax.

But it's good for the economy i guess...

  • Isn't it great that the heads of these wonderful corporations want to exercise more control over our lives via twisted and oppressive politics?

    (Reason #1 of many not to support the SPP/NAU agreement for North America).

    Ban all animal testing!!!!
    Let's test on humans, instead!!!

    Proctor & Gamble is headquartered in downtown Cincinnati. Overall they employ 135,000 people all over the world, many high-paying. I've known lots of folks employed and made will by P&G.

    Don't fuck with P&G. :D

    While testing on animals may not be pleasant, what is the alternative? And before you say "Just don't use those products," remember there are a lot more things than makeup or shampoo that get tested on animals (including medicines, etc).

  • I want my new extra tutti-fruitti- super duper berry burst dish soap to scorch some bunny's eyes out until it screams... Can I request that?

    I need it more fruity smelling...

    I think you can have a legitimate ethical argument about testing medines and such on animals, with plenty of good points to be made on either side.

    I DON'T think the argument is legitimate when we're talking about shampoo. The world has plenty of shampoos, deodorants, mascaras and laundry detergents. There is no way that I can see to argue that the development of another one is worth the pain, suffering, and death of innocent creatures. There are plenty of companies that manage to make these products without testing on animals, so it's obviously quite possible to do so.

    Yes. :)
