yep, I remember that war,an old friend of america, just acting like america. Infact Hussein had more of a case to invade kuwait then (due to Directional drilling for example) than america had for it's current war against iraq, at least husseins invasion was based on a fact. something proven unlike say, ummm wmds.

If you agree so much with Saddam's war you should go fight it. In fact, I believe everyone with the same view as you should be fighting for the insurgency right now.

What? of course not, I did however mention the Directional drilling as being one of his motives, a part you ignored in my post probably because you were unaware of the history. I simply was pointing out one of the reasons for his invasion which had nothing to do with the faux factors people think it was for such as taking over kuwait for fun or whatever else america believes.

and yes, bush jr had reasons for going into iraq, only he made excuse after excuse, first it was, WMDs, then came the liberation, terrorism and of course because "he tried to kill my daddy".

I'm not justifying what saddam did. But it's important to know why he did it, just as important as knowing why Dubya and co wanted the war againt iraq.

    From your friends at Wikipedia:

"In 1990 Iraq accused Kuwait of stealing Iraq's oil through slant drilling. Such claims are to be seriously doubted to have been serious enough to justify war, or especailly the occupation of Kuwait, since the limits of directional drilling (at the time) made it unlikely that any such well could have been drilled much more than a mile from the surface location. Even doing so would have involved drilling sites in close proximity to the border and the use of sophisticated and easily identifiable equipment and personnel for the most extreme distances."

What are you? A freakin warmonger!? Besides, we all watch the History Channel MrBrian. Ya freakin genius.
