To change the world through the use of brute intellect.
I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire

to generally have a laugh, with people who have similar interests as me, through brute wit.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

cuz while i dont post very much, i like to see what others think. i'm not into arguing or debating. i'd much rather hear all sides, research it and form my own opinion.

mostly tho, cuz it's amusing to watch how people react when they don't agree.

I actually just thought "brute intellect" sounded silly.

It also fits my persona of being a cocky prick.

  • i agree completely, its nice to change the world, to want peace for the world, for the war in iraq to end, but for me at least, I have to get my things together, get my head together before I can help others. Thats a simple rule but an important one.

    then i'm must've mis-read your posts...hehe...some of your posts are a bit too long...so sometimes i don't bother reading people's posts when they're long :o

I have to say Soulsinging is my arch nemesis for that reason. Because we are both cocky pricks and both well-informed. We agree sometimes and then the threads die, but when we disagree it's like armageddon. These priest like posters don't bother me as much, because they just clones.

I'm here mainly to increase my knowledge through exposure to Ahnimus' brute intellect, and to derive hours of entertainment from Dunky's brute wit.

Oh, and also, I was raised in a family of arguers. Some families get together and toss a football around, some play cards .... mine argues about everything under the sun. So this place feels like home to me.

I'm very good at not losing them, at least. Winning isn't actually all that much fun, because then the argument's over, and where's the fun in that? Unless you're arguing with someone you really can't stand, then it can be fun to stomp them to pieces

I like it here because there are usually people who are reasonably well informed that I can go round and round with. I save most of the stomping for arguments with my step-relatives ;)

I completely disagree with your statement, and I'm now going to go apeshit.

yeah, i'm a bit laid back, and can't come up with anything good at the time of argument.....but hey by watching everyone arguing in here it might help me ;)

hehe, you wouldn't like me, cause i'm usually the one who gets informed :D

I love the MT. I never realized the diverse cross-section of society that are PJ fans.

And I can't get enough of Ahnimus' brute intellect. :p

that's the best you could do?!?!?

    so weak.

    and it's batshit. :p
  • I just like it here. I like to argue but it sounds better to say 'debate'. I like to expose myself to opposing views that challenge my own. I like reading all the information and experiences from others here. I like getting to know other Pearl Jam fans who have interests that match mine...and then meet them, get drunk with them, go to shows with them, even stay at their home for a few days. :D There's a lot of incredible and very special people here.

I was raised in a large, loud, "throw it all on the table" kind of family. And in missing my family, I like to get involved in debates, so I love MT. I'm not good at debating but I'm good at having an opinion, and I love hearing all the different perspectives. There's a lot to learn here!

And there's a bunch of fun and cool people too. ;)
