Pimp and Pros Pitch Paul for Prez

Hillary and Obama might court the unions and the NEA for their endorsement, Romney and Rudy the NRA and the Christian right, but only one candidate is truly getting whored-out in his campaign for president.
That, of course, is Ron Paul, the Libertarian GOP hopeful (and prohibitive underdog), who has procured the ass-istance of perhaps the most famous legal brothel in the world -- Northern Nevada's BunnyRanch -- and its proprietor, Dennis Hof. In fact, TMZ has obtained an appeal from Hof to American voters, which Hof hopes will, as he puts it, "lubricate Ron Paul's path to the White House."
Unfortunately, Paul isn't on board with the program, because when we called his campaign manager to ask about the pimp support, he didn't sound too happy about it.
Mark Elam says that Congressman Paul "didn't solicit" Hof and his hoes -- certainly not their business, nor their political support. He tells us that, to his knowledge, Hof and Rep. Paul haven't met, nor does Paul sanction any form of prostitution.
As the libertarian-leaning candidate, Paul has been vocal in his support of states' rights, which, naturally, are amenable to the BunnyRanch and its business. Still, Paul is also strongly pro-life.

Bottom line,
you can slander the good Doctor by trying to associate him with prostitutes or drug users, or 911 truthers.
At the end of the day,
the people who supported him before based on policy will continue to support him, AND you have just ADDED all the prostitutes, drug users, and 911 truthers to the vote count.
(isn't that at least 51% of America? )
If I opened it now would you not understand?
I wasn't trying to slander him, I just thought the article was kind of funny.
You weren't, i know.
The intention of the people that started the story was, though.
:(

He is pro-prostitution on constitutional grounds, same as abortion.
I think it is unfair t accuse him of not being libertarian on the grounds of abortion.
If you view an unborn child as just that, an unborn CHILD, you would see the POV that he is PROTECTING the LIBERTY of the child.
No one argues that the constitution gives you the personal right to take away someone elses right.
The libertarian opinion that you have the personal liberty to choose what is best for you is a fair one, but that personal liberty hinges upon the assumption that what you choose to do is NOT harming someone else.
Therefore, you could argue that the "typical" libertarian is misguided in their view that abortion is a womans choice, because the unborn child is left out of the debate.
At the very least, it should be the right of the voters in your state to decided to protect that childs "vote" or not.
just my thoughts.
(again, i was pro-"choice" for a long time, but i'm starting to see that the notion of expecting liberty and ignoring responsibility are not congruous with eachother -- you MUST embrace responsibility and duty with liberty and freedom)
