So today is a snow day at my work, but I didn't check my email before leaving the house. So now I'm here at work. :(

I don't have a life. Work is actually kind of exciting.

Yea, London is right in the snowbelt of Ontario.

Whenever there is a storm or snowstorm and I pull up the radar, I can see a belt going right through London and pretty much avoiding everywhere else.

Sweet! I don't mind the cold or snow at all, as long as it's not raining and windy.

Stumbled upon this piece about snow earlier:
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/austria/article/0,,1964968,00.html

Austria's hills aren't alive with sound of skiing

For the Austrian village of Hochfilzen it was a disaster. As it prepared to welcome the world's best cross-country skiers and shooters for a biathlon event this weekend there was a problem: no snow.

With climate experts confirming that the Alps are in the grip of the warmest temperatures for 1,300 years villagers borrowed some snow from a nearby mountain, trucking in snow from Grossglockner, Austria's highest peak, 20 miles away.

I was out of breath when I got here walking through all that unplowed snow. I said screw it and stayed at work.

    probably a good choice.

when i left work last night the roads were horrible. i counted 8 cars in the median of the highway between work and home. then when i got home i realized the plow had gone by and left a nice pile of snow at the end of my driveway, and i didn't get a shovel yet. i was planning on getting one this weekend. i ended up using my oldest sons snowboard to push enough of the snow away so i could pull the car in.

    i really hate snow.

Yeah the snowbelt at times gets crazy snow..Didn't it snow like 4 feet in Buffalo in October or something? WOW

Apparently I'm not good at eye-balling, it's more like 2 ft or 2 1/2 ft here. I've heard different stories.

Buffalo get's hit just as bad as London, it's in the same belt I think.

Haha, I hate that the plows dump snow at the end of drive-ways. I used to live on a main street and every 45 mins I'd have to go out and shovel that crap.

Bitte sehr & danke schön! Aber ich wunsch viel Schnee fur alle Bergen, nicht nur dieses. No idea if this German is correct at all, but it's an attempt. I just wish when I go boarding the snow will be good and this is a 1 time thing.

I don't know, but I understood what you meant.

I've never been snowboarding and my cousin is a level 3 instructor instructor instructor or some crazy thing.
