Damn it. I hit 7-up on the machine and it spit out a diet pepsi, I tried it again and got another diet pepsi, then I hit diet pepsi and got another diet pepsi. Now I got three cans of liquid crap.

Who drinks this noise anyway?

Sodium Benzoate, Aspartame? If I had a hose going directly from my ass to my mouth diet pepsi would be obsolete.

I think Sodium Benzoate when combined with citric acid breaks down to benzene in the body. I need to find a link on that to confirm.

Stick with 7-UP if you have to have a soft drink. I don't think Coke has Sodium Benzoate, although I'm not 100% on that. Actually Sodium Benzoate is a commonly used preservative, not just soft drinks.

The research I've done on aspartame suggests only a 4% increase in tumors in test mice, which is ok for FDA standards. But it tastes like ass.

I like Coke, but this machine is all pepsi products. I usually just get 7-up and don't bother with pepsi. But today I'm forced to drink diet pepsi.

It tricks the brain into inducing hunger as well. Apparently tasting something sweet without getting the actual payload causes unnecessary hunger. Little wonder obesity is an issue with so much artificial sweeteners flooding the shelves.

The only soft drinks that aren't chemical weapons are coca-cola products. They are just packed full of good old sugar.

Only if the coke was bottled in Mexico. We've got some of that here and it tastes so much better than the high fructose corn syrup crap everyone else gets.

Are you serious? I saw some of that stuff in a grocery store in the hispanic section and was wondering why it wasn't with all the other soda. Think I'll have to go acquire some now...

Jones soda is made with sugar and not corn syrup.

I'm serious. Look for a little "Made in Mexico" sticker on the bottle and then look at the ingredients. It'll say cane sugar instead of corn syrup.

Well, the stuff I saw was in the old fashion glass bottles and the Coke label was in Spanish. It didn't have any other sticker on it and I could've sworn it didn't have any ingredients on it either, but I might be wrong about that. It's been awhile since I've looked at one. Either way, I plan on checking it out later this evening.
  • I must've been blind the first time I saw the stuff, because there is indeed an ingredient list on the bottle and it says sugar. No fructose corn syrup to be found!!! It is a glorious day, indeed.
