This man says he crawled under his sink and found himself in the future, he recorded it with his cell-phone.

bogus. In the future, everyone walks around in UV resistant full-body suits and breathes through special pollution filtering masks.

I won't say that time-travel is absolutely impossible, and he may very well be telling the truth. I don't think a hallucination would be able to record on his cell-phone, so he'd have to knowlingly lie.

What I do know though, is that if backwards time travel is possible and acheived at any point in the future, we'd be aware of it. "Where are the time-travellers from the future?" that question tells me that either backwards time travel isn't possible, or we never figure out how to do it.

You've never time-traveled? It's great fun. Oh wait, I'm not supposed to talk about it.

Apparently it is actually possible for time travel at the moment, but only for a very minute period of time.

lol, I don't think it's possible, but it might be.

Ok, let's say this guy went 30 years in the future and met himself. Then he knows that in 30 years his younger self is going to come from that past. Yet, there is no camera crew, no recording devices waiting for him in the future, no way of proving the event happened.

What he could do is say, 30 years from now I'm going to come from the past and have whitnesses there to prove it. But that didn't happen, which makes me wonder if it was real, or what he was thinking.

I travel from one second to the next constantly, it is a wild ride! lol

But seriously, i saw something about time travel on a discovery programme and they were talking about lost time or something, during light speed experiments.

I'd be skeptical of that, because solid matter can't travel at the speed of light, as far as we know. CERN which is just being completed only acheives 99% the speed of light.

    I'm not surprised :).
It's the new Disney movie. I had not heard about it either, but I have a seven year old son and it was raining today.

It may have been one of my favorite movies ever. A lot of play on the time travelling theme, which I can't recount lest I give the story away.

I understand and partially agree with what you are saying man, but at the same time i remember that i am on a big massive ball in the middle of a universe who's limits appears to have no boundaries and beginnings are unknown so im keeping an open mind about what is impossible!

Maybe we haven't reached the period in time yet that our future thinks is good enough from them to to travel back to.

I guess that's possible... they may also realize that time travel is a bad thing.

In part of this video they turn to look at each other and you can do a good facial comparison, they look almost identical, except the older man's head is a bit larger, I'm pretty sure the head doesn't grow much after adolescence, could be wrong though, in any case, the resemblence is amazing.

To be honest i dont think that i, or anyone else is in any positsion to rule anything out completely, who knows?

  • The future is only the past in reverse.

    Things I noticed.

    1. The tattoo do not appear to be in exact same place and it hasn't faded at all, so I guess the guy got it refreshed just prior to. Which is possible because he would know in advance of his own arrival (as long as he asked his older self the day month year during his "visit")

    2. The bridge of the nose looks reduced so I guess the guy got plastic surgery sometime in the future.

    3. You shrink in height with age. The older version of him looks taller, but that's inconclusive...maybe platform shoes just came back into style again.

I doubt it's real, otherwise I guess let's all hope the US govt doesn't have super duper top secret time travel capabilities...

    lol...

I noticed that too, however depending on the angle of the lens he could be holding it. I would ask him for the make and model of his cell phone and his arm length to prove his story. It's that simple. If the lens isn't wide enough to fit 2 people as depicted then....

Steven Wright, a stand-up comedian from the 80's, made a movie about 10 years ago called 'One Soldier'. In it, he meets his older self walking down the trail in the woods one day. Not only is the elder self about a foot shorter than he should be, he also speaks only in German, still, somehow Wright's character understands every word he is saying. The older gent tells him to stop thinking so much, "you're driving us crazy."
I would find this Hakan Nordvkist fellow's story more credible if he had just happened upon his older self walking in the woods or down the street one day. The whole under-the-sink-and-through-a-portal thing is a bit much, to me. All in all, his story makes a pretty good April One.
Interestingly, I don't know how many people who considered this story much, or think about all things timely, recall that Elderly Woman in A Small Town plays on the same theme. Albeit in a different way.
