I was watching CBC last night at about 4:00 AM and they had coverage on the SPP protests in Toronto, Ottawa and Gatineau, QC.
I thought I'd share some links about it, but I can't find anything in mainstream media besides what I saw last night. In Gatineau the police used tear gas on the protestors and a few were arrested in Toronto and Ottawa.

I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire

Ahnimus,
I don't understand. I have a question.
Clearly this is not a conspiracy.
I mean, the President of the USA, the President of Mexico, and the PM of Canada were all shacked up in a little Chateau in a tiny town in Canada, behind heavy security & undercover of a media blackout, with innocent protestors being gassed.
This is all out in the open and how most policy is discussed, right?
I guess what i'm trying to ask is, why do people think this is a conspiracy?
Don't the heads of three soveign countries always get togeather behind closed doors in little chateaus in little towns and gas people just before they make unprecedented agreements to strip the soverign rights of said citizens away and throw them into intranational pacts that denounce their constitutions and surrender their assets to the control of multinational corporations and evict their residents from their lands to make 16 lane superhighways through the middle of their towns?
what is the big deal?
sheesh.
If I opened it now would you not understand?
I'm not convinced they are up to no good. It might be a good conspiracy. However, when people secretly congregate to make plans that affect the lives of others; that's a conspiracy.
Montebello has been fortified like some wartime fortress.
I not against reaching agreements in North America...just not right now, and certainly not under the thumb of big corporations. And not by some under the table secret plan. Big corp are the guys that give us nothing and charge us more. Go to your local supermarket to confirm this.
You sure don't want those guys running your life and making new any laws!
It's an extremely slippery slope.
Tell people. Talk to people. Email your representatives and tell them you don't like it. Contrary to popular belief, you can actually be more effective than protesting all by yourself. Tell people. Support the word.
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

I watched this film recently called "The Protocols of Zion" is was a documentary film about anti-Semitism and the historicity of the "Protocols of Zion". Anyway, an interesting thing happened when the host of the documentary was on an aryan supremacist talk show. They talked about how a lot of the big corporations are run by Jews, but the host pointed out that Sony is Japanese and many other conglomerates that are sucking up the wealth are not Jewish.
It's definitely a monster that has no mind and no will. Global capitalism is a force that people must obey in order to succeed. Capitalism is to blame.
It's raging out of control. Just the fact that some people have billions of dollars means so many people have gone without. The "goal" in life now is to get rich.
I think that concept of that being allowed to happen unchecked is a recipe for disaster. I've been hearing Russia, and China are secretly support Iran, and we are well on our way to the next world war.
It's imperative we put on the brakes. America is driving us headlong into the nuclear world war. It's all gone out of control again. Bad action... bad reaction...more bad actions....etc... We're in a really bad cycle right now.
I'm opposing anything govt is peddling right now. Especially large sweeping changes such as this NAU. Especially when Bush himself admits will be needed to "compete" against China.
It's all broken to me, until they start talking about global co-operation and peace.
