  • The very name of Jesus means "Hail to Zeus..."

Every time you say praise Jesus, you're hailing the mythical Greek god Zeus.

So few understand what religion really is. One stark fact remains, it's the largest cause of death and destruction man has ever known throughout history, and if you don't follow it you're going burn and suffer in eternity.

Sounds like the creation of some demented ruler long long ago...

Get to church and Pray to the Zodiac....you'd be better off star gazing, or just not wearing sunglasses.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

and you think that the religious have bought in to propoganda? The claim your making can't be substantiated, except for making and taking great liberty in assumptions while blatantly ignoring word origins, texts (i.e. any serious academic endeavor). That theory doesn't have a leg to stand on. But then again, you think christianity / religion is stupid so anything you can find to support your view you'll believe hook line and sinker.

Every god in the book has the same tired and highly repetitive story. Any word with the letters "us" at the end is derived from Greek origin. Look it up for yourself.

People are praying to the sun and stars. No big mystery there.

since the NT was written in greek, of course it was of greek origin. And here's some other greek words that end in the greek -us...fish, fisherman, priest, head of grain. to borrow an example from a different website, saying jesus is dervied from zeus b/c of the us is like saying catholicism is derived from atheism b/c of the -ism. Just b/c you can supposedly string together 2 things doesn't make them connected and doesn't mean it's appropriate to string them together.

Odd why do so many gods have the exact same story strung together.

It seems to all have come from the same place so really all their names are interchangeable imo.
