Bush is talking...

  • He's talking about immigration when his ass should be wiping out N. Korea's bomb production. Idiot.

I don't support Bush, but honestly, North Korea's bomb production is the least of our worries right now.

It's just Kim Jong Il's attempt for a little attention.

I are nothing more than a show of strength (which like I said is pitiful at best) to the US that they will fight BACK if necessary. I think N.Korea feels threatened by the States because of the rhetoric which comes out the head offices and the missle tests were to sway any proposed attack. Its funny cause people on the coast fear the N.Koreans and I will bet my bottom dollar the citizens over there shit there pants thinking of the US...it goes both ways.

I agree with you, I will reserve my concern (even though I am in Seattle already) until they get one, I don't know, a few thousand miles, not a few hundred. Considering the average N Korean is completely cut off from outside news or opinion, I am very curious what they have been told about the rest of the world. Probably something similar to the USSR in the cold war.

Exactly what I was thinking about when thinking about this whole situation.

Once you go into "that guy is crazy" land predicting what they will or won't do is useless. From a technical standpoint doesn't appear as though either could do much, and that's where my solace will come from, not their mental state. If they had the ability? Who knows. What's the virgin count for Ahmadinejad if he took out the "zionists"? No idea. Would Hollywood Kim enjoy riding the bomb down a la Stranglove? No diea. So I'll be happy they can't for now, while not castrating the worldwide response capabilites for fear of giving in to the "great fear campaign."

I understand that being that crazy makes you unpredictable, but I just think that at a certain point reality does come home and hopefully for those two it would be right before they decide to do something. At some point they will be like "Oh shit if I do this I am completely fucked." Maybe I wrong and under estimating their level of insanity which hopefully I am not.

I don't think you are....people are over-estimating their insantity...people tend to blow things out of proportion about things they do not know about...in this case the entire country of North Korea.

Saw a story last night late on NBC or ABC not sure. It was Bob Woodruff anyway the last Western journalist allowed in N Korea. They replayed excerpts from his interview (2000 or 2002?) with a N Korean official who said yes they had nukes and plan to keep building. This official kept referring to N Korea being called part of the axis of evil by GW as one of the things they're upset by. They also showed Woodruff visiting a US military ship that was captured as it was spying on N Korea. It's a tourist site now reaffirming all of their paranoid thoughts (deserved or not) about the US.

George Bush is doing what he has to do. 9/11 caused the Iraq War. Bin Laden is to blame for this mess.

9/11 should not be the cause nor an excuse for our invasion of Iraq. While I agree that bin Laden is responsible for 9/11 he is not the one who should be held responsible for our invasion of Iraq. Those memebers of government who initiated this war along with those who supported and gave the president authority are responsible.

right now we have "bigger guns" in the u.s... at the moment, maybe not a concern, but a few years down the road, it could be... they are being helped by china.. and russia. doesn't comfort me too much.

"It's hard for me to tell you what's on his mind. He lives in a very closed society," marked by concentration camps and starving people, Bush said.

"What we don't know is his intentions," Bush said.

Um, okay, sure, whatever you say Mr President, or however you say it.
