why only obama?
if peace is truly desired by all...it will come into being. it's a collective effort.
PEACE needs to be coming from EVERYONE.

You sure he wasn't talking about a guns or a booty call?

Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.
Wow that's brilliant! I'm surprised nobody has thought of this yet. We can just "Call for Peace" and then all the bad people in the world will stop being bad! Yipee!
So this life is sacrifice...

"We can push a button to start the next war but there is no push button magic to winning a lasting and enduring peace. To be peace loving is not enough, for the Sermon on the Mount saved its blessings for the peacemakers. The generation which I speak for has seen enough of warmongers. Let our great role in history be that of peacemakers."

If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

If JFK were around today he'd be a Conservative Republican.
"Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country"
"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty."
Sound kind of "hawkish" to me.

The US is an awfully young country for bad people to have started there. Bad people everywhere.
the last sentence made me laugh.
but seriously, just because the U.S. is "young" doesn't mean shit. I'm talking about in this day and age, the U.S. plays a great role in global affairs, and SOMEHOW, everything goes to shit.
My point was we need to deal with our own country first.

He said "not a limited peace", but "an enduring peace", "an enduring peace built on freedom."
And here it is again, from another speech, one actually titled, an enduring peace, built on freedom.
Pretty fucking ridiculous and bombastic, if you ask me.
