I used to like to read and post here. That is just it... used to. Is anyone else tired of the same rhetoric? Is it me? When does the passion for change become reality?

The nature of this place is talk, and just that. If you want change, then get involved, join organizations, run for office. This place can only discuss change.

yeah what's wrong with you people anyway?
  • Online forums are designed for discussion, there's not much that can be done through them. That being said, many of us do put our "passions for change" into action.

the problem is - even on this board we can't agree on what the problem is - let alone come to a consensus on the need for change ...

OK, I'll go then. I am a member of the Red Cross and Attac, and do occasional donations to other causes. I have been homework-help for young children and immigrants for about a year total. I got involved in student organizations to help maintain and improve conditions for the students at the university. And I stay updated and engaged in politics, and use my vote. I'm not saving the world or anything, but it's about doing what you can where you are and at the level you're able to. That Gandhi quote about being the change you want is a good one.

    But as Polaris pointed out:

That's also a thing. To want change is one thing, but wont do any good if others that also want change dont want the same change. Which is why realites often are suspended somewhere between the extremities of opinion.

So are you asking people to say what they're doing? That was really unclear.
