Case Scenario:
Say I worked in a tiny health food store here on the islands. I had a crush on a flirty manager for the 3 years that I worked there. Imagine that every beautiful, surfer-type chic that walked in was on his "dossier" of lovers.
Now me, I'm into spiritual/sexual/emotional growth and a healthy relationship, and I've been mostly celebate for, gosh, about 8 years now. Just a couple of short-terms in between to remind myself how to do it! I'm waiting. Call me young or whatever, but talk about "awkword!!!"
"Jeremy spoke": My mother passed away about 4 years ago, I'm 36. I was completely co-dependent on her, emotionally. Now, after her death, I recognize pieces of her in me, yet I mostly notice that I never really knew her at all!!! I'm still exploring to find what "kind" of a person she was.
