up there with them are the movie directors who bash the healthcare system yet don't take care of themselves.

So if you're overweight you shouldn't complain about how poor the system is and try to change it?

i didn't say that. I said it's funny that an obese person is taking a stand on national healthcare flaws. The system is flawed...in this case I'm shooting the messenger NOT the message; which is exactly why this thread was started.

I didn't say you said that. I just wanted clarification.

Of course, some people on the left and the right do things I might consider wrong. What's stupid is to act innocent and holier than thou while doing the same shit if not even worse. If it's their personal life and isn't harming anyone...I don't care what they do.

I was just joking. I know what you meant. I put the "ha" in their to indicate it was just a joke (obviously there is a list of one that would know that, with me being the only one on it).

Agree, left/right both guilty of shit. It's an integrity issue, blah blah
Also agree that the right points fingers at the left as being immoral, harming values, etc, etc, which was the point of this thread.

I find it funny in the article though that the republican busted apparently has cleared his "SIN" with "GOD".

    not Clinton- screwing Lewinski
Yeah - his wife didn't even hold him accountable.

"In January 1998, as the investigation into her husband's affair with intern Monica Lewinsky probe engulfed the White House, Clinton appeared on NBC's "Today" show and dismissed the allegations as part of a broader effort to smear her husband with groundless investigations"

...wasn't so groundless, was it Hillary?

Those are just two off the top of my head.

Good thing Democrats' constituants stand up for their politicians when they are caught cheating. At least Republicans would hold their candidate accountable. (according to a poll)

Believe me - I love it when politicians get caught screwing around. I love it MORE when preachers get caught cheating... with a gay prostitute... while doing drugs.

But - when your title is "Two-faced Republicans", why not make that "Two-faced Politicians" instead?

I would think that most, or all of the democrats as well as republicans would say that they are "moral" and are faithful to their spouces.

You seem to have political motives to attempt to make the Democratic party seem better, when in reality, they get caught just as often. Ignoring the same issues with the Democrats that you are blaming the Republicans for.

Same goes for Democrats... but oops... that would be sharing the WHOLE story.

...I would have had a lot more respect for Clinton if he said under oath "Yeah, she gave me a hummer, because she wouldn't let me in the back-door"

I don't comment in this area too much as I think most of the political talk is rubbish (from both sides of the isle). Anyway, I was reading through this string and couldn't agree more.

Most politicians, on both sides, make me want to scream and cringe. What makes me want to scream and cringe more are the morons who follow them with such enthusiasm. They put these politicians up on pedestals. Yes, most have good intentions, etc., but they are all still human...make mistakes just like you and I do.

Anyway, I just think all of the political attacks suck. Let's stick to the key issues...the environment, the war, education, etc.

My point of view? I don't think we should fold our hand on Iraq as so many others want to. Yeah, I agree war sucks. But, I also don't believe this war would end if we left Iraq. From the start, I believed things would get much worse before they get better and believe going into Iraq was a strategic move that was sold to the public incorrectly, but I do believe things will get better in time. However, I also believe that we need to focus on the issues at home. Border security, education, etc.

Anyway, just babbling now. I just think the personal attacks, etc. should stop. Let's be civilized and discuss the issues.

    All the best!
    Cheers!

did clinton run on returning decency and morality to the white house and politics?????

    noooo, he didn't

of course what he did was bad, but it's not the same thing as acting hollier than thou and saying your party is the party of morals and family values when you're doing the same thing
    standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
    eager to identify with
    someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way
