When I heard the olympics were taking place in China, I was apalled. It has one of the worst human rights records in the world and feel it shouldn't be allowed to hold such a world event. In the spirit of the universal declaration of human rights created 60 years ago, we should stand with the people of China and maintain they are human beings, who are entitled to a life of equality and freedom.

Are anyone still under the illusion that the olympic games are anything but a money-making media-machine? If the olympic games ever had a meaning, it has been throughly lost along the way. Now it's just a big sports event among others, only with higher ratings.

The faces on the marathon runners is what I want to see when the event goes down.

Nothing like some solid yellow air in the needy lungs while performing at the top of your game. ;)
You've changed your place in this world!

Glad I'm not a world-class marathon runner looking for Gold, Silver or Bronze...this could be a death march instead of a race. :(
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
