i'm not voting for obama.
because i CAN'T :)

i'm talking the about the Canadian election... in case you didn't know, we're having one too. (and by you, i mean canadians as well... cos i know a lot of us are following the American election at the same time).

and i have little idea of who i'm going to vote for, because i've only been educating myself for about 2 weeks now.

with that said, i hafto say: its amazing how little you pay attention to politics and the future of your country when you aren't really a part of the decision... i missed the last election by about 2 months (i was only 17) and never really educated myself on what was happening in parliament.

i had no idea that the country is being run by a war mongering bible thumper, for instance. :)

okay, i know thats a generalization....

anyways, i'm going to vote on monday!

anyone else in N. America voting for the first time this year?

vote with inaction, it is your most powerful tool. strike, general strike...shut it down. They have to listen when there is no country to run.

voting is a token participation by the masses that lets them be appeased, letting them think they are participating. our power is our ability to shut down the country. completely. and we can. at any time.
    then they have to listen.

Just an honest question, why do you find the need to quote the only post in the thread? I think by being the second post, and the first reply, people can figure out who you are conversing with.

Not necessarily so in that's an assumption, because many times in the time it takes to make a post sometimes many here could make a post. One could easily have posted several times before you make yours.

So if a person chooses to make their post in that time so be it.

I hear ya I can remember the first time I voted in 1992 but I don't remember what drove me to actually cast my vote. However we're all adults here now, no need to give out directives it's late.

  • Why not just make Chuck Norris president of the world?

    I dunno...it could work.

    thinking out loud...
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Good for you. Get out there and vote!
My first time voting was in the 2000 US Election, and we all know what a trainwreck that was...
