It's more than just 2 people.

The mainstream media just reported that Colin Powell - a member of the "Bush" Regime - will have a say in what goes on in the White House if Barrack Obama does "win".

This is in addition to everything else that takes place "behind the curtains of the puppet show."
A child's rhyme stuck in my head...
It said "Life is nothing but a dream."

Obviously things aren't gong to change overnight. But we will be better off with Obama as President than we are with Bush now or would be with McCain for the next 4 years.

I love when people make unsubstantiated "they all suck" claims like this without citing any evidence for it. But go ahead and keep sitting on your ass talking about how you'd love all of us to take to the streets without actually doing anything about it personally. That'll help.

Wow another example of the Dems hating those who provide jobs.

As Democratic nominee in 1972 McGovern said it best, the problem with our party is that it loves employees but hates employers

yeah!!! I cant wait for Bush to be out of office. I am even more excited about Obama. I think Socialism is going to be great for this country! Why work hard when we can just tax the shit out of those who do and "spread the wealth around". If that doesn't work, maybe we can go communism next. That way everyone gets their fare shot.

on a side note, does sarcasm come across well in print?

America is the land of opportunity NOT entitlement.

Tell that to Sarah Palin who has already instituted socialist policies in Alaska. Remember her bragging about the windfall tax she made the oil companies pay and then giving the money to the people of Alaska?

There's also that Wall Street bailout that McCain "suspended" his campaign to help create, and then flip-flopped saying Bush should have vetoed after it was passed. Bush signed it, then the corporate CEOs got what they felt they were entitled to.

So you are for taxing the rich people and giving it to the poor but you have a problem with taking money away from large oil companies and then giving the money to the citizens?

That bailout you are talking about, Pelosi purposefully tanked the original bill and then the Dems did what they did and added a ton of frivolous things to it. That is the bill McCain said he didnt support.

no hypocrisy. Taking form citizens and taking from corporations are two entirely different things.

No I make far less than. FAR less. But I dont think it is right to penalize people who work hard for their money.

Dont you think we will see everybody keeping their salaries under 250,000 if that tax plan goes into effect? Then where would the money come from?

well gee...I'm not a conservative nor a liberal nor a democrat nor a republican nor a green or any other bullshit divide and conquer irrelevant label you can think up...so i guess you're wrong about that one

i guess you don't get out much huh? some of these Obama people have a glazed over "hey I'm in a cult come drink the kool-aid" look in their eyes! others are just so desperate to get rid of Bush they'd vote for Satan himself!!(which isn't too far from the truth)

You sir, are completely brain dead. 95 % of the population makes less than 250,000. And those that make more only get the tax increase on what they make above and beyond the 250,000. You have been listening to far too many neo-con talking points. This tax system is designed to effect corporations, not the common man. It's designed to help the middle class and fund our infrastructure, military, energy policies, education system, etc..... But I bet you think it all goes to welfare. GET A GRIP.

    1. I am not brain dead, but thanks to resorting to name calling.

    2. Some people DO make more than that (myself NOT included) and it is not fair to tax them more just because then earn more. they are already paying more taxes, not only on income, but chances are their property taxes are higher, they are spending more so they are spending more on sales tax(yes it their choice but it is still more tax money they lose). But sure make them pay even MORE, they can afford it, right?

    3. I do work for a small company that will be directly impacted by Obama's new tax plan. And THAT will make it harder for me to get my raise next year, since they will be paying more taxes.

Well someone has to cough up the money to pay for the wars, infrastructure, social programs, bail outs, education, and everything else. So since you think it's so unfair to get the money from those more fortunate than you, maybe you should just pay 100% of your earnings to help out. Or maybe we just shouldn't bother getting that money from anywhere, go further into debt, and watch this country go to fire? I know you don't like the idea of a president Obama. But how about a president Ling, Chong, Wang, or Chan? Because you are headed in that direction.
