Here is a link to the new issue of the Atlantic. Andrew Sullivan writes an incredible article on why America needs Barak Obama to win the presidency. Hope you guys read the whole thing... it's worth it!

just what about Obama sucks? you don't know anything about him, do you? so why claim that you and the other boneheads are going to take him out if he gets elected?

my family lives in illinois so i'm familiar with his work. as for the rest; look back in history and you'll find the answer.
that doesn't explain why you claim that he sucks.
alriiiiighty..... I bet that you were the second gunman on the grassy knowl in Dallas in Nov. of '63 too, huh?

If you and your family hail from Illinois then you are aware of his ability to bridge partisan divides. If that isn't what you're hinting at, please enlighten us with any policy decisions he might have made during his tenure in both state and national politics that might have created positive or negative reactions on your part.
As for the Skull and Bones secret-society bullshit, I don't give much weight to the notion that members of elitist clubs have a lock on victory when their turns come around.
Personally, I love Obama ~ read both of his books and have followed most every bit of news about him since his resounding speech at the DNC (I'm an independent, by the way) in 2004. He'd make a phenomenally untainted president.

"Its a secret to everybody."
I would take him in a heartbeat over Hillary...god I can't stand her!!
made me chuckle.
Anyway, I enjoyed reading it, and you also reminded me to renew my Atlantic subscription, so thanks again!
Certainly the GOP likes him better then Clinton, they like anyone better then a Clinton.
This is going to be the biggest joke of an election ever seen.
Think about our choices, is that not a joke?
As usual though, the threat of terrorism is blown all out of proportion and compared with war and giving it as shadowy and dark angle as is possible. Terrorist organizations will never pose a threat the size of the one hanging over say the cold war, and the situation today is nowhere even close conditions leading up to the world wars. Today is actually one pf the most peaceful eras in international political history. (which, granted, says more of the era before now) So although I can see the merit of the points he makes, I completely disagree and disregard his motive and rationale for coming forward with them.
Peace
