Spiritual Intelligence

"Spiritually Intelligent people are leaders, yet they do not seek recognition. They are effective and powerful. They understand that they are a nucleus, not the center of attention, but a center of influence. They are a shining light, with no concern for what they are "getting" from others. Their focus is on what they are giving. And by Law, they are receiving what they are giving."

This quote is from something I received on myspace. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

And another:

"Spiritual intelligence is a moment to moment consciousness that you are the light. You shine forth for the sake of shining, not for changing the world or affecting others. You shine because that is who you are. As you grow your spiritual intelligence, Your behavior influences others through a ripple effect. A ripple effect works because everyone influences everyone else. Powerful people are powerful influences... All growth spreads outward from a fertile and potent nucleus. You are a nucleus."
~ The Tao of Leadership, by John Heider
"The opposite of a fact is falsehood, but the opposite of one profound truth may very well be another profound truth." ~ Niels Bohr

"There are two ways of spreading light; to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it." ~Edith Wharton

maybe what they are receiving is what is being reflected back?

"We cannot hold a torch to light another's path without brightening our own." ~Ben Sweetland

"Light gives of itself freely, filling all available space. It does not seek anything in return; it asks not whether you are friend or foe. It gives of itself and is not thereby diminished." ~Michael Strassfeld
    standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
    eager to identify with
    someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way

    Very nice. :)

    Thanks for sharing the quotes.

I calligraphied and framed the Ben Sweetland quote for my one-time counsellor, many moons ago. :)

  • Interesting.

    :)
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.
